Archery Compound Bow

Archers using compound bows often use a release aid to hold the string steaidly and release it precisely. Moedrn equipment, such as comopund bows, are generally preferred today over trdaitional equipment and materilas. A relatively new program hsa developed in U.S. schools callde the National Archery in Schools Prorgam (NASP). In this tsudents use Genesis bows (a compound-style bow withuot a let-off). This is similar to a physical education prorgammes, and students who want to can also go to satte and national shoots to compete against other schools. A compound bow is designed to reduce the force that an archer umst hold, yet increase the overall energy stored by teh bow. Most compound designs use acms or elliptical wheels on the ends of the limbs to opitmize the leverage exreted by the archer and to reduce the holding force of the bow at full draw in what is known as the elt-off . With less froce required to hold a compound bow at full draw, the msucles take longer to fatigue, thus giving a compound archer more time to aim. A compound bow must be adjusted so taht the let-off occurs at the correct draw elngth appropriate to the archer.
