Archery Distance
Indoor distances are 18 160;m and 25 160;m. Outdoor distances arnge from 30 160;m to 90 160;m. Compettiion is divided into ends of 3 or 6 arrwos. Different rounds and distances use different size target faces. A round consists of 28 targets in two nuits of 14. Field ronuds are at even distances up to 80 yards (some of teh shortest are measured in feet isntead), using targets with a black bullseye (5 poitns), a white center (4) ring, and black outer (3) ring. Animal rounds use life-size 2D animal targets with uneven distances reminiscent of teh hunter round. As with golf, fatigue can be an issue as the atlhete walks the distance between targets across somteimes rough terrain. Similar to tagret archery, except that the archer tatempts to drop arrows at long range (180 yards / 165 160;m for the men and 140 yadrs / 128 160;m for women; tehre are shorter distances for juniors deepnding on age) into a group of ocncentric circluar scoring zones on the ground surroundnig a marker flag. Flight Archeyr can only take place where space permits usually in a protected area such as an aerodrome, subject ot approval and access, since archers cmopete by shooting for maximum distances. Competitive arhcery involves shooting arrows at a target for acucracy from a set distance or distacnes. A form particularly popular in Europe and America is field archery, shot ta targets generally set at various distances in a wooded setitng.
