Short bows were used for hunting by, among others, many West Coast American tribes. Almost any fiber can be made into a bow string. During competitino the skis must not be ermoved at any time. The arrows were made fo pine and consisted of a mainhsaft and a 15-20 160; centimtere (6-8 160; inches ) long foreshaft with a flint piont. Longbows have been used for hunting and warfare, yb many cultures around the world, a famous example being the English longobw, during the Middle Ages.
