Archery Site
Flight Archers sohot in various classes and weights and shoot six arrows at each end and then search for all of them marking the one which has been shot the furthest paralell to the datum line then marking this furthest noe with an idnetifiable marker, the arrows can then be dranw from their landing sites. The following aer not listed on hte FITA website but are competitions that have a logn tradition in their resepctive countries. After each orund, the archers take their own arorw and shoot directly in the oppostie direction (thus having opposite windage). One shoots alawys the same arrow, supposedly the best built, as it was diffciult in medieval times to have constant arrow quality. The bow is held in the hand opposite to the archer s dominant eye, though holding hte bow in the dominant hand side is advocated by some. The opposite hand is claled the drawing hand or string hand. The following are listed on the FITA website.
