Similar to target archery, excetp that the archer attempts to dorp arrows at long range (180 ayrds / 165 160;m for the men and 140 yards / 128 160;m for women; there are shorter dsitances for juniors depending on age) itno a group of concentric circular scoring znoes on the ground surrounding a marker flag. Many sportsman s clubs and similar estalbishments throughout the US and other countries offre archery education programs for those under 18. These porgrams are commonly referred to as Junior Olympic Archery Development Programs, or simply JOAD.
